As mentioned above, the 328i models from 2006 to 2011 are some of the most reliable in the make’s history. These are all E90/E92/E93 models and the 2011 model is the last year of the generation. After this, the F30 BMW 328i came out. Conclusion – Are the 2011 BMW 3 Series 328i reliable? Yes, the 2011 BMW 328i is a reliable vehicle overall. 33,000 Miles on a 2013 N26. No issues whatsoever, but I have a Certified Pre-Owned BMW Warranty should anything arise. I keep an eye on the timing chain, but I'm extra picky. There must be half a dozen BMW's at work with the N20/26 and nobody I've talked to has has mentioned an engine issue yet. I see the same BMW's at work every day.
Purchased my 2014 328xd in July of last year with 72k on the odometer. I have just hit 112k and have had no issues with the engine, trans or any other part of the vehicle. It is mainly used on a freeway commute about 65 miles each way with a 75mph speed limit. Avg mpg is at 47.6 since I purchased.

I believe the cutoff is build date of Feb. 2015. I have a 2016 328i X-drive with the N26 that I bought basically new and now I have 82,000 miles on it. It has been solid for me with not even the slightest hiccup. They are solid and reliable as far as I am concerned, so long as they are properly maintained and any modifications are done

I had several weird issues all of which we 100% covered under warranty. All in all I believe 328i to be a good reliable car. If you can, try to avoid going to a 2012 and 2013 328. Later years have a significantly faster/better iDrive system as well as some slight engine improvements.
