Re: Canon EOS R C-Log 8bit vs 5D mk III Magic Lantern RAW 4k. « Reply #8 on: January 05, 2020, 11:22:28 AM ». Canon CLOG seems to respond well to color corrections (as per my video above). The bit rates are indeed high: 4K @ 23.976 fps - 489,811 kbps. HD @ 59.94 fps - 185,304 kbps.
The install procedure is a little more simple than the GH2 hack. Update to the latest Canon firmware then simply copy the Magic Lantern files to your SD card and go into the menus to select Firmware and proceed with the update. If you take the SD card out the camera returns to the default Canon firmware. Pretty simple really.

if you really need professional dslr for 4k video shooting, canon is totally out of the field. it's 4k video looks like 1080p quality. and it's follow the route as predecessor 5d3 when it shot 1080p, the quality looks like 720p in sony.

The EOS M used to be one of the most ‘challenged’ cameras for RAW video, consistently in the shadow of the 5D Mark III and 70D. Not any more. The 5K 24fps mode is not continuous but it’s quite astonishing to see what the hardware is capable of. 3×1 means that it is a pixel binning mode on the sensor rather than a full pixel readout
