Posted May 16, 2022 (edited) Fastest way for a new player would be to farm gold and then craft them. Living story maps for the trinkets. Fractals won't work because you need ascended in order to slot agony resistance infusions and you wouldn't have access to the higher tier groups in the LFG.

When it comes to ascended weapons and armor, crafting is 100% the most consistent, reliable and cheapest way to obtain ascended gear, especially once you have the crafting disciplines leveled up. There are 6 crafting professions when it comes to armor and weapons. Map exploring 100% for your gift of exploration (not including any HoT zones, southsun cove, drytops or silverwaste). Then spend about 6-8 hours inside WvW geting gift of battle (use guild WvW and other boosters and do dailies to speed it up) 3rd step would be to get your self a precursor, dusk.
I've been playing the game for a couple of weeks now. I'm still working on my ascended trinkets. So far, I have only two and I'm planning to craft ascended armors and weapons later on. However, I'm finding it hard to level my discipline faster. My leatherworker still sitting at 22 and others are even lower.
TL;DR :Ascended gear is acquired over different parts of the game. The fastest path for PvE players is Tier 4 fractals, but is also both: subject to loot rng as well as requires a first full armor set of ascended gear. Crafting is often the most expensive, but fastest/ most strait forward way to get ascended gear.

Ive hit 80, and got some full exotic gear on my necro. Now i want to slowly work towords ascended and watched multiple video saying: oh you can get trinkets here, helmets there and weapons at another whole different place. (Or im dumb and didnt search good enough). So my question: Is there a way to get full ascended in just 1-2 gamemodes.
